Just Ask Alice is run by Alice Barden.

For 25 years, Alice worked in the entertainment industry where she coordinated and managed large scale live television events as well as stage managing a broad range of high profile TV programmes.  This developed her first-rate problem solving & organisational skills. No task is too outlandish, no item too hard to find, no individual too tricky. In the TV industry, pulling off the impossible, without notice, is a daily event.

Alice subsequently ran her own successful childcare business as well as running a bed and breakfast.   She has also project managed the building of a house – demonstrating the ability to manage numerous contractors, architects, local authority officials and clients with ease – delivering the project on time and on budget.

Among her more recent assignments, she has been working with a production crewing agency providing production staff to the television industry.  This involved a great deal of administrative responsibility including the recruiting and scheduling of up to 100 staff; liaising with numerous clients, managing the invoicing system, maintaining the website and databases as well as managing the day to day smooth running of the agency. Additionally, Alice has also worked remotely for a large event company in the Middle East putting on branded live productions for Nickelodeon, Universal Studios and Warner Bros. organising everything from presentations and contracts to flight, costumes and props.

As a result of this wide ranging professional experience, Alice has an excellent skill set – solid business knowledge, strong project management skills (including first rate troubleshooting capabilities) and accurate budgeting experience.

Alice is practical and creative; has an eye for detail as well as seeing the big picture.

She lives near Bath.
